pH swing?

So I set up my RKL yesterday and now have real time status of my pH. It is reading up to 8.29 during the day and down to 8.06 when I woke up this morning. I am dosing kalk through my ATO and I have opposing schedules on my Display lights vs. Refugium lights. Is this swing in the normal range or is it too intense?

IMO, that's pretty normal. I try to keep mine between 7.9-8.3. It's very normal to get a swing like that from day to night though.

Yes - I agree with Brett. Yesterday I left my sliding glass door open and my ph peaked at 8.35 I closed it by 8 pm and this morning my ph was 7.98 @ 8am (light don't come on until 10 am). But that's about average for my tank .

Ok awesome. Thanks guys. I have honestly gotten away with never really testing for pH... :/ so now that I see it constantly I wasn't really sure what was ideal.
