ph woes!

i cant really get my ph about 8.2 at night it drops to 7.99.. is this acceptable for sps. my acros and such seem pretty happy so far..

Could always use kalk in your top off water. Mine ran about 7.99 at night until I started using it.

it is a pretty big swing for long term IMO. I don't know if it will cause you to loose them but you defiantly will see some off colors with a large swing.


Edit: After looking at your original post, I saw where you low is 7.99 and I read it wrong. A 2 degree swing isn't horrible.

I do dose kalk with ATO and my Ph is sitting at 7.8 only gets to 7.9 maybe 8.0 in the day/lights on. Alk is 10 ca is 450-460

I use a Geo Kalk Reactor and dose kalk every night, my pH in morning is 8.2 and end of day it is 8.4

In the past I used a calcium reactor, but had a hard time keeping pH up and had to dose anyways.
