Thinking of going from radium to phenoix 14k anyone use this bulb and could provide insight? I had good results with radium this past year just looking for a whiter appearance.
Phoenix 14k is pretty blue it's acually bluer then most 20ks on the market so if your looking for something whiter then the radium I wouldn't get the Phoenix 14k,it is an awesome bulb though one of my favorites, You looking for double end?
I run Phoenix 14k bulbs also and don't think they are all that blue either, especially when compared to the radium. But it definitely does crank out some crazy par. Just an fyi, Dr Foster and Smith has the best price on the Phoenix 14k bulbs.
I use 14k phoenix. Without actinic supplimentation I dont think you will be happy. I run two 14k 250w halides, 3 blue plus, and 1 purple plus and love the color.
I ran the phoenix 14 on my 120 years ago, very nice color in my opinion, not insanely blue like the radiums look. very clean whitish color. I ran a little t-5 supplement actinics. but you could barely see them with the halides on.
