Phos Reactor running again

I used to run a Kent Phos Reactor before I took down my tank. Since setting it back up at the new house I have had a bad algae problem so I decided to throw the reactor back on. I filled it half full of carbon with about 3 inches of phosogurd. This morning when I looked at the tank it was so clear and bright that I could not believe it. It looked like I changed bulbs, I had forgotten how clean carbon scrubbing can make water LOL. So if anyone out there has a similar problem give it a try I think you will be happy with the results.

I have been having a rather large HA outbreak, I switched out my filters on my RO and I think it will eventually get back into control. I also added some phosban to my filter material. Since adding the phosban it has been depleting my alk, so you need to becareful of alk depletion when running phosphate removers.

I've run carbon for years with no problems to report (sometimes over 1 Lb). Only problems came from an overdose of Phosguard a few years back.
