PhosBan reactor setup with no sump?

Are any of you using a PhosBan reactor on a tank without a sump? How it is working? Do you have any pics of your plumbing?

Since I don't have a sump either...Can I have my output from my Fluval Caniser be the input to the Reacter and then back to the fish tank?

Is it as simple as a small powerhead in the tank, to tubing to the reactor, and then a tube back to the tank? Is that all is it?

You don't want to pressure the reactor, they have been known to leak/burst under pressure... Hence the flow valve =)

If I connect a tubing to my powerhead to pump water down to the reacter. Will that be enough pressure to pump the water back up 4 feet to my tank?

mine blew a gasket! literally!

i have an older one and use a mj 1200 on it.

i wouldnt trust it if you dont have a sump.

btw: your fluval canister filter is a fluidized media reactor! aka a big ol' phosban reactor!

I've got a small powerhead connected to mine and then just a hose feeding the water back. You can't have the flow too fast because you will turn the media into dust. Can't remember what the maximum suggested flow is but it'll be on the box.
