I use Rowaphos. It does not leach aluminum back into the tank like some others do. I think there are other brands out there as well that do not leach aluminum, but a lot do so you need to be careful. I buy mine at Marine Depot.

I also have a phosphate problem, as discovered today in my water tests. I think it is due to over feeding, but anyhow, redslime algae is begining to form on my sand bed & alittle on the glass. I bought some Seachem Phosban today to add to a plastic insert into my HOB emporer. Is Seachem a good brand or should I look into something else???

Also what are some other ways to get rid of the red slime algae problem ??? Hopeing it doesn't get out of hand...

i vacuumed mine out with the water change. i just use the tube for siphoning
