Phosphate media rock solid

My po4 media is becoming rock solid in a couple of weeks, if I'm not mistaken I believe this has to do with calcium precipitation, is that correct? If not what's the cause? what can I do about it?

Calcium 410-420
Alk 8
PH 8.22
I dose 2 part, and top off with kalk.

Thanks

Calcium carbonate, yes. That is one reason some people tumble it. Better flow through it may help, as might lower pH, lower alkalinity, lower calcium, and higher magnesium. :)

That said, in a couple of weeks it may be ready to be changed anyway. I swap mine out after 2 weeks. :)

Don't dose the additives upstream of the GFO, but rather let it fully mix in before getting to it.
