Phosphate trouble

Would a some sort of sand sifting star help out as far as just the extra food and stirring the sand up some? What would be best for this?

Sandsifting stars eat animals in the sand, and they will starve to death over time in our tanks, and kill the sandbed as they do it.

i used to use rowaphos but got fed up with the mess. changed to a british product called biophos 80. its a synthetic resin gfo with almost no dust and rinses clean with a half gallon or so. the cost with shipping from the uk is still less than rowaphos and i use half the amount. love it.
