Just got a Hanna checker phosphate meter. Showing 0.00 on both samples. I tested water also with some coral frenzy in it and it read 1.70 so iit appears to be working. I don't have algae and my chaeto doesn't grow but doesn't die either. Does this seem right? Still not getting the best PE but recently picked up coral vitalizer and pohls xtra so just started that yesterday

Yes, what nutrient export methods do you use? What are your params? Pics of the tank/corals? Just because you have 0.0 phos not automatically mean you should have good PE. We need more info.

Yeah, that's possible if you feed light and/or run gfo. The chaeto is pulling the phosphates out as quick as it is put in. Try bumping up the feedings and see what is does for you.

Only thing I have been doing is dosing vinegar. Started that cause I started to have an algae issue a few weeks ago. I don't currently dose Gfo. I have never been able to get the chaeto to grow in a year and a half. I just got the Hanna today

Alternate rods and spectrum pellets each day. Recently started adding coral frenzy at night. Just got coral vitalizer and pohls xtra and have started that. I also dose fuel twice per week

Green chromis, flame angel, diamond goby, three wrasses, two clownfish, bangaii cardinal

Assortment of crabs and snails. I also have a clam.

Also have two anthias and a firefish. Tank is 90 gallon with 30 gallon sump. Ati 6 bulb powermodule. Two vortech mp40's

Bump. I will also mention that change out about 10 gallons about every week and a half to two weeks. My mag was high a few weeks ago and haven't tested since. High enough it was off the chart
