Photo Cell Multicontroller

Hi, I've a pair of Stream 6000 with a multicontoller 7094. I read the manual several times but can't figure out how to set the pump to low power when the lights goes off with the photo cell.

Here's my setup:
Photo cell is connected and is sitting close to the light (close enough where it doesn't get fried). Pulse set to off. Both channel set to 30% on top dial and 100% on bottom dial. Pump connected at left of channel 1 and right of channel 2. interval set to min dial with 1-7 min. mode is -> <-.

I colored the settings with red dots.

My pump pulse (0 power) and runs at 100% all the time. I'd like to run at pulse (0 power) and 30% during lights out hours.

Thanks

Set your knobs opposite- i.e. bottom 30% top 100% at night it goes to the bottom setting.

jsp0,

I have the same problem as you are having.

I do not know the reason why but if I reverse the settings as Roger suggests my pump output drops to 30% during the day.

Nothing happens when I simulate lights out by enclosing the photocell in my fist, pumps remain at the last setting (30% in this case) even though I want them at 100% during daylight hours.

During the day they should pulse between the two settings every few seconds and at night go to the second setting. I would suspect the photocell is not connected firmly or possibly has a defect or salt entered the socket. It can take a bit of a firm push to connect the photocell and you might try unplugging the pumps from the wall and reconnecting them after 30sec to reset the controller.

Hi Roger,

Yup, I think I'm having the same problem with Mark.

Does it mean I've to use the pulse setting (dial). I currently have that set to off.

I've tried reconnecting the light sensor and I'm sure it's snag.

Thanks

Justin

Yes, if it is off it is not going to work, you have to use pulse in off mode it will do just what it is doing.

Hi Roger,

I turned the pulse dial to the on position and it is performing like you said.

Thank you very much.

Mark,

Is yours working with that setting?

Justin

Yeah, mines working now.

I wish they would get someone to proof read the manuals prior to printing.

They are very hard to understand.

The new one is better. I proofread them now but I don't have complete say because most English countries use British English so I get some input but I am not the final word and I find British English a little more difficult.
