Photo cell not working

Hi I bought a tunze photo cell for my tunze pump but yesterday it was working fine and today its not working its brand new i just received it thursday afternoon and installed it the same day its getting plenty of light i switched it off for a few minutes and put it back on but no luck what could be wrong?.

How is it not working? What is it doing? Normally in light the pumps should pulse and at night the pumps should stay at setting 2 on the controller.

Hi roger it stays at the second setting no matter what i do the photo cell is between the two metal halide light about 6 inches under it and the controller doesnt pulse.

Does it pulse with the photocell disconnected? You may have turned the pulse to off if you turned the pulse knob all the way clockwise. Make sure the photocell is not upside down, the grid of the photovoltaic circuit inside should face up. Also be sure it is completely plugged in, you may have to push hard. Check all these things, unplug the pump from the wal outlet wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

Hi Roger sorry for the inconvenience that i may have caused but it was the simplest of things that the photo cell wasnt working and for those who read this follow along the thing that was making the photo cell not work as it should was that i had the driver unit too close to the metal halide electronic ballast and when the metal halide bulbs turned on the photo cell stopped working all i had to do is move the driver unit a couple of inches away from the e-ballast and done it worked like a charm i think that maybe some sort of electronic interference was afecting the controller that it wouldnt let the photo cell circuit work as it should but now its working excelent i apologize again.
