I have 2 Rapid Onyx LED fixtures running off an APEX. I have an S. Gigantea that has been in the tank for over a year now. Its had done fine lighting wise. My Lights come on at 8 am and start their "sunrise". They ramp to 100% over 3-4 hours depending on the colors. Peak for colors 1 pm, Peak for whites @ noon, peak for blues @ 1 pm. They immediately start a ramp down from then till they go off completely @ 10 pm. I have adjusted the apex so the lighting on any color is above 50% for only 5 hours now. All lights are down to 20 from 6-7 pm till off. Does anyone see a problem with this for sps? I have a few LPS and a zoa colony that have been in for over a year with no issues and actually nice growth. The tank was always meant to have SPS and the nem only.
So what are your photo periods like with LEDS?
