Photo Sizes

I have been having problems with clients printing out my photos and the photos turing out cropped. The original size is 10.027" x 6.667" they are trying to print 4x6 5x7 8x10 and the machines are cropping the photo for them. Do I have to manually set up 4x6 5x7 8x10 or is there a magic porportional size? Thanks for the help in advance!

Sounds to me that you would have size them for them. They should be using the resize option not the crop setting?

It really depends on how you deliver the images to your customers. The way I normally do it is they order off of my site and there is a "proof delay" after the order is submitted. This gives me an opportunity to make sure that the crops are correct for the size(s) they want before they are printed.

Ya i think that they are going to a walgreens type machine and just ordering the sizes not going through the crop option in the machine. Well I guess I will have to start sizing them myself and organizing them on the disc in subfolders. Its just really tough dummy proofing everything.

Unless you're shooting with an 4/3 system camera, your DSLR outputs images in a 2:3 aspect ratio. Unless you crop to another ratio, you'll need to print in an aspect ratio that matches that; i.e. 4x6, 8x12, 12x18, etc.....
