wow cool cichlids!
And great images Chris- thanks for sharing them with us. I wouldnt say that your images are bad because of the snow.. I think what Ken was suggesting was that if you cleaned them up, it will only improve the look of your images.
I especially like the last shot (the acro macro) of the second batch you posted. the composition works nicely.
High shutter speeds and/or a tripod oneradtek202.
Of course it really depends on how bright your lights are, how fast the fish is moving, how shaky your hands are, and a whole host of other variables unique to you. You need to understand WHY settings are better than others for a certain situation for yourself.
well it seems that my focus is off or something. Things are more sharp when im not zoomed in soo close. Im using a tripod....this is the best sharpness i could get with my 100mm f2.8 canon lens.
Do you have a bow front tank? That looks like glass distortion from the tank itself to me. You shot at 1/80 which isn't very fast but it isn't terribly slow either. If you were using a tripod it should have been fine. Are you shooting perfectly perpendicular to the glass of the tank?
Thank for your comments…
oneradtek202 the regulations change proportionally the light and the subject that you want to show…
the photograph that you showed it wanted f: 5,6 and above in order to it shows better…
and certain with plants…
