Just wondering if anyone knows how well phyto and zoo plankton do in a small nano with a sponge on the filter intake. Will the sponge completely remove them quickly from the water? I'd like to try having a ready supply for my filter feeders, but am worried that the sponge will prevent that. I know I can run without the sponge for a bit to feed, but I'm hoping for a more permanent presence.
