did you have a chance to read Wilkensons book? I am on page 213 of 220 or sound and have found it very helpful! Looks like you are going to let them hatch and then snag them? Have you built a snagger to get them from the parent tank?

Its laying right beside me right now.. Great book.

Im going to be placing a piece of tile in the location the laid the eggs the first time. Hopefully they will lay the next batch on that and I will be able to get them out pretty easily.

Sounds good in theory right? LOL

I have a pair, but no spawning. I am hoping soon though. I have increased the light period and my tank stays around 82. The tile sounds like a great idea, but just make sure you keep bubbles flowing over them once you move them out. I have placed a small clay pot in my tank so hopefully they lay on it. They host a powerhead which would be easy to remove as well.

Is this the first time they have laid eggs? When will they lay again?

Yep... 1st time.. They laid on Christmas day and they released eight days later.

Supposedly they will continue to spawn ever 12-15 days. Im not sure if that is from the time they eggs release or from the time they laid them. Hopefully I will know soon.

The pair I have that are spawing are actually one Occ and one Perc. The offspring will be percularis! lol

I have another pair of true percs im working on as well, but I expect it to be some time for them.

Perculairs huh? Sounds great! Signed me up for a pair! I believe its from the time they lay the eggs, so about 2 times a month. Hopefully the tile dont spook them or anything. The LFS had some baby onyx clowns, but they were tiny and i didnt want to buy them without them having only 1 bar. What did you use to start your Phyto water? Also, what about rotifers?

I got a starter batch from a local reeefer. Seemed alot easier then starting from scratch, but that has yet to be proven.. LOL

I have the rotifers on order and should be here any day. Will get them started as soon as I get a good reading on the phyto production.

If these progress nicely, I will try the true percs and the I would definelty like to try som onyx clowns.. that would be real nice...

There are some others I would like to try, but one step at a time.

Yeah, I have had my eye on the onyx clowns for a while now. I made a kinda spur of the moment purchase and bought some b/w false percs, but the 3rd bar is misbared. Are your percs spawing as well??
