Something really weird happened yesterday to my phyto.
I had about a 1" of phyto the bottom of a 2L bottle which was in the light and still bubbling. They phyto was very dark. I mixed up some fresh water in a new 2L bottle and then poured the dark green stuff into the new water. I added the normal amount of algae grow and put it to bubble. It was still a rather medium green colour. I came home from work last night and the bottle had turned completely clear. My first though was contamination with rotifers, so I just left it alone. I went down to feed my fish this morning and the bottle was again green. Not as green as when it started but it was green again. Any idea what went on to cause this???
