Update:
The first experiment was a complete failure. I used Reefs2go pods and never got any reproduction at all. They stayed alive and did well just never reproduced. I switched to a smaller copepod and they are spreading like crazy.

hey brett would i just feed that phyto to my tank and the pods will gobble it up? Ive been wondering what the heck my pods are eating.. i have no fish so I dont feed the tank anything.. Id hate to starve them out and lose em =/

I think your pods will eat anything. Pods IME are tough little suckers. When given the choice I think they would rather have the phyto but their survivors either way. I believe pods full of phyto are more nutricious for whatever is eating them too. If you use phyto, I would go easy on it and just use a little at a time but growing your own is better IMO cause you dont have all the die off in the bottle like with DTs if you've ever had it sitting in your fridge. Let me know if you want to grow your own or if you just want some and I will get you started.
