Phyto

I could run to Kermits and pick some up for you guys, if you need me too. I'm in Millington, so if anyone is closer to Kermits that might be easier. (And I work in Somerville, so KR isn't exactly on my way), but I have no problem going Saturday before the meeting if no one else can do it.

The club (two generous volunteers) grow our own. It is free to members but you gotta get your name in early. It isnt like DT's in that it is less dense and doesnt go bad as fast.

Oh way cool!!! Right now I've got a new bottle which at a ml per 10 gallons in a BC8 Should last a while, but after that, please please add me to the phyto list!! Cool beans.

I was growing the phyto for the club for 2 years. Since I was getting a new tank up and going I had to pass that off to others.
Our phyto is not as dense as DT's because we don't have a centrifuge to do that. Anyway, when you condense the phyto it uses up nutrients in the bottle faster and "expires."
I stopped growing the phyto for about 6-7 months but kept a sample of phyto in the fridge. I MABY shook it up once a month or every other month. It never went bad. I started the culture up again and grew a couple 2 liters before passing it on the the other members. Kermit's donated one reactor and I made the other one from scratch.
Its really good stuff and you'll notice a lot of filter feeders popping out of the rockwork in notime.
