I've been feeding my azoox tank (gorgs, thistle's etc). Shellfish diet along with a varied selection of processed / frozen foods.
Whilst I always get good polyp extension (or inflation in the case of the thistles) does anyone know how the phyto is ingested? Even with target feeding there is no capture response from the polyps? It this because as opposed to zooplankton the phyto is so small that it does not require the polyp to hold the food and bring it in?
Any thoughts would be appreciated
