Picasso Pair and Perc Pair - are they ok together?

Is it ok to put a pair of small Picasso's in with an established tank that has a mated pair of Perc's in it?

The Perc's are one large one and a small one. The Picasso's are both young and about the size of the smaller Perc if not smaller.

These two pair will be in a 30gal for the time being and later, 2-6months moved to a 120gal.

Thanks for your time.

the clownfish you have now are not perculas they are occelaris i just looked at your tank looks great

You would be running quite a risk. In the wild, clownfish groups have 1 female and 1 mating male and all the remaining clowns are non-breeding males. If you introduce two true pairs (i.e., two breeding males and two established females), you will most likely see the death of one pair (the smaller pair).

Thanks all. Those are old pics GSMGuy. The smaller one is now connected with black between the first two lines like the Clown in your avatar. The larger one has thicker black banding. So what I might have is a mixed pair now, one Perc and one Occ. I need to get some new picks up as the tank is much better now.

GSMguy is your avatar a Occe or a Perc? Thats how my little one looks, the black connects the white bands and is filling in more each day as he loses his orange. His bottom fins are all solid black as well.

This is a question nobody ever has a good answer too but how can you tell? If the black bands have filled in what makes it a Occelaris over a Perc?

Sounds good to me. I am not worried about them being True or False in the end. They are awesome either way. I picked them because the smaller one had solid black lower fins and had never seen that before.
