I have had my tank running only a few days(90 gallon) I have tried to be thrifty keeping costs down...I bought 40 lbs of live rock from TBSW to help my tank cycle. I decided to use TBSW because I have read alot about the "ins and outs" of Salt water aquariums and a large number of people have raved about TBSW and the amount of life contained in their live rock. I am not really a conservationist but I like the idea of aqua cultured live-rock as opposed to natural reefs being raped...I have read some opinions on this and they think the rock only comes from damaged reefs...I say unless you see it with your own eyes u just cant be sure. History and life in general tells us when there is a buck to be made, people are capable of anything.
Well my expectations were high and I got to say the rock has exceeded my expectations already. I am amazed at what I have seen already and will definately purchase all my future rock from TBSW.
I bought one rock @20lbs from my lfs and I thought it was cool...TBSW blew it away. I wish I could have afforded "the package" what a great deal especially since I have seen the product.
Funny thing about hitchhikers...you have to watch what comes in on TBSW liverock and hope you get "something" with the lfs.
