stopped into tmr tonight because i heard they were getting a bali/red sea/hawaii fish order in. they got in some beautiful fairy wrasses... blue flashers, carpenter's, exquisites, scott's, and probably a few others i'm forgetting.

the colors on all of these fish are amazing! i walked away with a great deal on an adult male carpenter's flasher. i'll try to get some pics soon.

Nice, I just picked up a lawnmower blenny and TMR is holding a powder blue tang for me. I/ my wife was looking at the blue wrasse that guy had.

The exquisite wrasses he had were by far the nicest in there and most expensive. They were also close to fully grown. He had three I grabbed the nicest one out of the bunch.

I'll take a pic when I get a chance this is a much nicer looking wrasse than the painted fairy wrasse I have, the pinks and reds on it are unreal.

glad to hear you got the exquisite. you may want to put a couple of short pieces of pvc in your qt tank for him to hide in until he's acclimated to the other fish.

my red juevenile (unknown) fairy wrasse picked a fight with the carpenter as soon as i finished acclimating him. :( but, it only seemed to be a quick fight and they seem to be doing fine together today. they are both swimming all over, under, and around the rocks and sometimes hang out together.

i really like these fairy wrasses. ...might have to plan accordingly when the 200g is ready to stock. ;)

So far there has been no fighting or any signs of it from the two Wrasses and the new is still taking cover under the rocks.

Here he is after two days in the QT tank

If you can see it through all the crud, I haven't cleaned the QT tank in a long time.

It better look nice for $60, This pic was taken with the flash as well, it would look better with out the flash on.

just found out my flasher may actually be a mccoskers instead of a carpenters. apparently they both look very similar, but the mccoskers has a single top fin instead of 3 spikes like the carpenters.

mine looks exactly like this one:

can anyone confirm? henry?

You got a good deal with what you paid then. Those go for almost double what the carpenters go for.
