hi everyone
ive been looking for pickling lime i checked wallys world and they never heard of it. i know some one in orlando has to be using it, were are you geting it from. btw i live near mall millnia

Wally world does have it. Look where the pickling/canning jars are stocked. I went through the same thing, the employees at Waldomart couldn't find their butt with both hands.

The Lime is not in the food isles but in the isles next to the food isles. The isles across from the food where they keep pet supplies and such. You'll find the lime on the top shelf.

All Walmarts are laid out the same. I found it at the Walmart in Port Orange. I then found it at the Walmart in S. Daytona. I then found it at the Walmart in Ormond Beach. I didn't buy any at the last two locations, I was getting something else and just went and looked to see if they had it.

I was also frustrated and went back to the Port Orange store like 4 times. I was just looking in the wrong place. DO NOT LOOK in the food isles. It's in the canning section. You will find mason (canning) jars in the food isles AND you will find them in a section away from the food isles. There will also be other kitchen appliances in that isle. Look for a little sign sticking off the shelves that says canning supplies.

W. Colonial has it. Check in the housewares area not the food area. It will be with the plastic kitchen storage and canning stuff. I bought 4 huge cans a few weeks back for $2 a piece. This should last me a loooong time.

Just give a little warning that food grade kalkwasser is not manufactured to reef keeping standards, some people have had issues while using pickling lime, such as unexplained algae outbreaks, fish kills. On the other had some people have used it for several years with no issues. I would recommend using a kalk blended for reef keeping. Contact Davy on the ORCA forum under DTI for a good cost effective source for reefkeeping kalk

 :(

i'm really flusterd checked in house wares and all over the store i need exact locations of were you guys been buying it. i wasted to much gas today.

Don't believe the hype. Mrs wages is perfect....remember this product has been used long before someone tried it in a reef, and when first used in a reef it was this product. Now its marketing to get your $$$. Someone wants your money. $2 Wal Mart nuf said.

Not really after your money as onano stated just a reliable source for lab grade calcium hydroxide. Although there are varied opinions, whats works for you may not work for me and vice versa, I have used both without issues. I do feel confident knowing that the lab grade is available for a reasonable price compared to food grade.

Forget walmart, PM davy. His stuff is about the same price, and is lab grade calcium hydroxide. I think his name on here is davy182...

A specific brand that everyone always talks about has been discontinued. I have the local publix manager do research and he called me the other day.
