Hello, thanks for checking out my thread on nano/pico reefs. I did a lot of research on nano tanks and concluded that I needed to challenge myself. The fluval Edge is small and hard to work with but unparalled in its style and design. Enjoy my pics and feel free to post replies.
started this little tank as a planted tank about three months ago. I never have attempted a planted tank so I thought what the hell. I went into my LFS and once again was sucked into the awe of saltwater. I have had a 90 gallon reef when I lived in Florida but had to move and it didnt make the move with me due to space.
Equipment.
2x marineland led light fixtures
1 fluval 105
2 heaters,
Thats it. very simple. no skimmer nothing just a two gallon reef crystal water change a week and some good husbandry and you can have a nice little reef. All that matters in a reef in my opionoin is the water. Buy premixed reefcrytal water and do water changes and all will be happy. its that simple. I have used all kinds of skimmers and reactors to no such quality as a simple water change one a week. Enjoy the pics I'll post more often as the corals grow, which thay have by leaps and bounds.
