BTW....does anyone know what kind of coral is behind the tail of the sailfin? looks like worms sorta. It never opens or anything comes out. I don't think it has an opening at the tips. KR

kr.. What kind of camera are you using? If you had a better picture of the "coral" in question I could probably identify. Also if you need help taking pictures, let me know. I only live a few minutes away from you, and would be glad to help. As far as the coral is it soft bodied or calciferous?

mflamb, Yes they eat like PIGS! Anything and Everything....except my coral of course....but the yellow tank is pickin' at my tube anemone....so back in the 50 gal he will go...
akindbro4u....I believe they are right they are snake something or other....they are soft but they never have anything come out the end ...I am not sure if they even have a hole at the end....the camera is a digital 5.0 mp. But, to get them to post I have to resize and condense a lot. KR

Thank you Diane, I really like it a lot....it has been very challenging in the last year to do the corals....that really started strong about 4 months ago.... I mostly have softies....my leathers other than the colt are not doing so well....The colt was one of my first purchases. I have already had one guy that I bought the 90gal from come over and just had to have a piece of it.....What a compliment that was! My passion has turned toward all the different zoas! I LOVE the different color combos. As far as fish go....I have had great luck with tangs but not so good with dwarf angels that are semi reef safe. I have that lemon peel (more like an orange peel in color) and he has been doing well. Just really wish there were more Angels that are reef safe!
I also have not had a chance to officially say "Thank you" to Paul, for directing me to Reef Central! So,...... Thank you Paul. There are tons of nice people here and it is very nice to find people with the same interests. Crystal KR

The Tang police? What the heck is that? lmao....What's wrong with 3 tangs in a 90 gal? To many or what? They all like each other very much....and I have had no probs at all. I do my water changes faithfully and they all seem like they are doing great. What will they flame me about? KR

Given that those tangs each reach 14+ inches in their natual lifespans, an 18 inch tank is considered by many to be far too small for one of them, let alone three.. Personally, I wouldn't see much harm in housing these tangs in that kind of space for thier juvenile lives, but after about 3 inches, I'd be upgrading to a 24" deep tank, preferrably a 180 at the minimum..
Now, I know that is opposed to the wisdom you'll hear at many of our local fish stores, but if you do some research, you'll find that long term, it's better for the fish to be housed in a setting that will allow them at least the illusion of freedom to stretch thier fins as it were..

Yes, I see your point.... I do have lots of holes for them to be able to swim in between all sides, back and several places in the middle. Also, I think the pic is a little deceiving as to their size. But, as you noticed I'm sure, the pic went bye bye....don't want to "offend" anyone. Thanks for the heads up! KR
