I made a trip back to my old stoppin' grounds and took a few pics from the Henry Doorly Zoo. If you get the chance make sure you stop if in the area. The zoo has been rated the #1 zoo in the USA three years running and voted on of the top 3 in the world! I think the aquarium rivals Shedd or any other that I have visited. One of my good friends is the supervisor of the aquarium so I got a behind the scenes tour.

I'm not sure I'm worthy to critique anyones tank. I hope to make it down, but am unsure what the family has planned for activities. Hope to see you Saturday.

We need clarification. On yahoogroups it seemed like everyone was saying Sun, and the top thread in this forum about the Oct meeting also says Sun.

your pictures are inspiring me to plan a trip for next year
i too have heard what a great zoo it is

just had some basic travel questions for someone who has actually taken the trip

The WRS meeting is at my house "Sunday", starts at Noon.

Sorry about the confusion on the meeting date...my bad! Here are some more shots of the zoo. This is only a small portion of what is offered there. For the last 10-12 years they have had a major exhibit open every 2-4 years. The aquarium alone was like a $30 million project.
