Pics needed of utility sink and RODI setup

At my old house I had an RO/DI unit hooked up to the water supply from the washing machine. I have a new house and the plumber that done all the work is coming back to install a utility sink in the unfinished basement. I'd like to mount my RO/DI unit above the sink. Can anyone post pics of how their setup looks? I'm not exactly sure how to tell him I want the plumbing done so the unit is in line with the sink. I want to use one or the other at any time. I don't want the unit being supplied from the actual sink faucet

Thanks for any help!

You want one of these-

To do this-

Because you want to use your sink as a sink as not just a glorified RODI hookup

Lower black after valve is source in, that is attached to the fitting that goes between my cpvc water pipe and the hose for my sink cold water .

I just turn that little green handle on that overpriced BRS valve, and I get 60psi of City water with all it's chloriney phosphaty goodness into the rodi unit without running the faucet.

Sink drains here, and gets boosted up 10ft to my waste stack. Rodi flush goes into this via yellow.

R odi waste gets put straight into stack via a 1/4" John guest saddle valve

The rodi line is typically 1/4".

Supply lines for sinks are normally 3/8

So you want to get this one-

So the purpose of the overpriced green valve is that you keep that other valve under the sink on at all times and the RODI water is being shut off by the overpriced green valve correct?
If so what’s the link for that valve if u don’t mind?
Thanks so much!

Yep- you got it... I never mess with the valve under the sink.

Actually less expensive than I recall

No worries!!

Yeah, scuba is #1, but had to stop when I moved to TN (now GA)- not a lot of diving in TN. Was in Monterey Bay California diving every other week fir 6 years before worked made me relocate.

Now we are in GA, Florida is an easy drive so I'll be picking it back up again. Deep penetration wreck diving is my thing. But wife makes us stick to the beaches or non-pen wrecks.

Here's my setup. RODI unit is a 800 GPD unit, product line dumps water into the top 65 gallon container. Top container dumps RODI water down to the bottom container by turning a ball valve. Bottom container is plumped to mix salt water as well as pump water upstairs to my office tank. Water from my sump is drained into my utility sink, waste water from the RODI is plumped into the drain pipe of my RODI unit with a small P trap.

That’s interesting. I use same containers in my truck for herbicide! Does the top 65 container get full? I’m surprised that shelf can hold the weight.
Thanks for sharing!
My plumber comes today to install sink!

Each shelve is rated for 500 pounds. The top container does get full and I've actually flooded it 3 times now, lol.

Here is my set up. The water is "T"ed off the cold water under the sink. I plumbed a second shut off next to the sink in case I need to turn off the water. I hate crawling on the floor. It comes up then thru a solenoid then thru my booster pump. I have my apex turn the water and pump on once a day for 45 min to replace my fresh RODI. Thats the small 15 gallon barrel on the left. I have another tube going to the mixing barrel. Big 65 gallon. There is a 3 way valve I turn to manually route the water. I have optical sensors in each barrel in case the water gets too high. If that happens the apex turns off the water and pump. I also have a sensor in my skimmer jug. If it get too full it will turn off the skimmer.
I have a pump for the barrel, to recirculate the water for mixing and then with a turn of 2 valves it can pump that water into the sump. I have another pump in the sump to pump old water out.
