Pics of 55G Reef

I thought I would post some pictures of my 55G - it's been up and running for about 2 years now. I made some important changes a few months ago that really helped:

1. Replaced the filter media in my Filstar XP2 canister filter with live rubble rock - it's been serving as a great breeding ground for copepods and mysis shrimp (my mandarin is thankful :) ).

2. Added more live rock from my other tank.

These 2 changes caused my nitrates to drop to ~5ppm and corrected a low pH problem I had been having - I was hovering ~7.8 and now I am up in the 8.2-8.4 range. I also do a weekly water change of just 5 gallons with RODI water. As a result, I am seeing good growth - something I had not seen before.

I know I have a long way to go until I get my tank to look like some of the others I have seen, but the journey is fun...

I have learned so much from this forum - now I just need to get to some meetings.

I should have attended the frag event - what would you suggest? At this point, I am willing to try something with the shrooms. They seem healthy, but have not spread at all. I would definitely like to see more of them.
