Thank for posting Torry, looks great! Sometimes the simplest fish amaze me. I love the scissor tail goby.

Torry, when I met you I knew your tank had to be amazing, but wow! I'm hopin my tank will look like that one day!

Thanks!

I'm a fan of the scissor tail goby as well...he's quite the jumper, though. He sounds like a ping-pong ball inside my canopy!

Do you have an exquisite wrasse with the lineatus?? Have you seen any aggression? I tried to add another wrasse after I did my Lineatus but it didnt like it at all!! BEAUTIFUL tanks! Very impressive

Thanks, everyone!!!

Rogger, chick reefers rock da house! :D

Trust me, you really don't want to know what I paid for those Helfrichi's...I was at the right place at the right time and I got them for a ridiculously good price. I guess when you're good to your LFS, they'll be good to you!

I have had no problems with the lineatus and the exquisite together. I do have a rather homicidal solarensis, though. He doesn't bother anybody currently in the tank, but he attacked an orangeback wrasse I tried to add a while back. I've tried taping pictures of male solarensis to the side of the tank, and he pays no attention to them. I have also tried introducing wrasses in "critter carriers" with holes drilled in them, but neither wrasse lived past a few days in there. I know of a few people who have used this successfully, but it hasn't worked for me yet. I really want to get a laboutei, but it'll be hard to find one tough enough to fight back, just in case the solarensis harasses it.

Thanks for the compliments...glad you guys like the tanks!

Just stumbled over this thread again.
looking closely I c your lineatus-do you mind posting a pic of that particular fish. truly looks like a supermale!

Anyways I want to compare b/c looks to me that mine is either a sub-dominant or female. just wanted to compare the looks in real life. TYVM for your time.

Torry, what is that yellow coral at the top left of this picture?

Also beautiful tank, just looking at it gave me a bunch of ideas.

Hello...sorry for the late response! Today's my birthday, and I spent it on my dad's boat fishing all day. It was a great day, we caught a 70 lb. sailfish...he was absolutely beautiful! Not a bad size for a summer sail...He put up a great fight too, jumping and all. It was my first sailfish catch, so it was a fantastic birthday, I'm just so thrilled!!! :D

Gasman, I will take closeup shots of the lineatus tomorrow and post them for you. He's definitely a star in my tank, and he's quite the ham as well so I should get some good shots. He's an awesome fish...eats right out of my hand!

NewReefBishop...the coral is a yellow turbinaria. It was originally in a fellow PBMAS member's tank who won it at one of the raffles at a meeting. He was worried about it surviving in PC lights, though, so he gave it to me as a "Congrats on your new 180" present. Of course, he now has free rein on any frags he would ever want from my tank!

I'm glad that you got some good ideas for your tank...if you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you!
