Pic's of my Yuma's (pinks, greens, purples)

I have been getting a few PM's about my pink Yumas and people want to see more pics, especially of how they naturally spread and what a baby one looks like. People seem to be interested mostly in the pink ones but I thought I would share a few other pics since I just took new ones today.

Here one of my larger Pink's which is probably 3" across when opened. I have another rock that has a 4"+ and another 3" incher.

Same Ric, just a different angle. If you look closely, there are two babies that are visible. One tiny one at the bottom of the rock and another just to the left of it (with some tenticles covering it, it's tough to notice) There are a few other babies on this rock but they are on the other side and I can't photograph them. I seem to get a 1-2 polyps every month that show up on this rock.

Here is a shot of the one to the left. You can see the base of itis purple and this one doesn't have any pink in it yet. As you can probably guess, this guy is TINY.

Here is the one at the bottom of the rock. This guy is essentially colorless and doesn't resemble much yet but he'll color up just the same as the other.

This is a shot of my green one and you can see that a few pinks are surrounding it. I have probably 15 of these green ones, from 4" to tiny 1/4" baby ones.

The last color morph I have is this purple one. He's a good sized, plus I have another two baby ones that are growing.

Me too! I am guilty of bugging him for a pink - The babies are *soooo* adorable I can just barely make out the purply one under the pink one. It is so awesome you have found one that likes to make babies often. I can only home mine will try to do that in time.

It really makes me also wonder what my salmon colored yuma would look like under higher light - sometimes it switches color between salmon and the last pic you posted depending on its mood

lol, you guys are too funny. Let's try to keep this a "pictures of my Yuma's" thread as I know they are pretty strict about any trade requests or selling, I'd like to keep things of that nature through PM's. I'll post more pictures as I can take them. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Awesome. So you keep them under MH? Are they in shaded area or did you aclimate them to the light? Wish mine would grow like that. They are huge, but don't like MH so I switched it out for PC. My FL rics like it though, just not my yumas.

They have been directly under MH light for years, they seem to be doing just fine with it. I only have a few Florida Ric's and they seem to like the light as well. My green ones are about halfway up the tank and about 20" under the MH.

newtanksmell, careful what you wish for, lol.

I know this isn't a Yuma, but oh well. I think it looks like a bowl of apples :)

Blazer, those are gorgeous. Is that red macro in the lower left hand side of the frame ?

I can't wait to get my 120g build done. So much more room. I want to create a sea of rics.

I know some people get bored with them, but they are easily my favorites.

Which picture are you talking about?

Ah, I see what you guys are talking about. I thought you meant macro as in macro picuture and not algae, lol. But yep, I had a small outbreak of this really fluffy type of algae that looked like cotton candy. I bought a few giant Mexican Turbo snails and they are eating it up like candy. The strange thing is the algae was only on that rock but it's quickly disappearing.
