(Pics) Tank stand design looking for feedback .....

I wouldnt worry about it, from the photos I see the screws arent actually bearing any weight they are joist holding the straps to the lumber. If i remember right each screw can bear 60 lbs. so if the tank weighs 2000 lbs, 35 screws would do it IF the tank was actually loading the screws which it doesn't appear to be doing.
 
I set 2x4's on top and bottom of the 4x4 the 2x4's should distribute the weight the 4x4's are bearing the weight itself. The screws in the straps are doing just that holding the whole thing together along with 5 screws through the top of the 2x4's into the 4x4's both top and bottom. I would agree that srews are likely to snap but in this case trhey are not holding the wieght so I think I am ok we will find out soon enough. =D I do appreciate the comments. =D
 
Considering this. Taking thin plexi and modling it into a U shape to fit unter the trim and avoid water from coming up from under the 2x4's.
