As I said in a previous thread I was going to post some pics. These are quick and dirty and some aren't that good.

I wanted to get some pics of the tank before the second 1/2 of the package arrives.

Yep got Part 2 in on saturday. Everything is in but I'm still having a heck of a time placing all the gorgs that Richard sent.

I'm the process of reading up on them to find the right placement. I also got this huge and I mean huge coral, I think it's an LPS but I will post some pics and see if you all can identify it.

Now I can finally start thinking about fish, the QT is up and running so I can stick 2 in there for a month while the big tank finishes cycling.

Question is I have no idea what fish I want hehe.

So I'm a bit confused... I looked at your pics and they are very nice! But are you saying all those pics are from part 1, the first half of your package from richard? Not part 2?
You cycled your tank with a birdsnest, mushroom rock, Flame scallop, etc? Or are those pics of part two in there as well.

He's had a complete package in a nano tank. One of his friends who has an empty 75g partial setup talked Tony into trading the nano for the big setup. He picked corals and frags from other sources once part 2 of the nano had cycled.

At least that's what I've understood from what he has said in the past. He has been very busy with work and setting up the 75g so he and I have not exchanged much info lately.

Hopefully he won't get too upset with answering a question meant more for him.

Oh o.k. gottcha. I didnm't think some of those things came with part one to cycle.

My tank is cycled by the way. am hoping to arrange for part 2 very soon as soon as I can contact Richard and work of the shipping details.
Thanks again Teri

Hehe, Teri knows my story way to well.

I've had 3 tanks so far. I started with a 12g Aquapod. I got sand and rock from a LFS before doing any research into saltwater tanks, you know the impulse buy which is the worst.

Got home started doing research and decided that the 12 was too small and upgraded to a 20g that I had some Ciclids in. I got part 1 and 2 of TBS for the 20g and then got all the frags.

I was then given the 75g with the stand. I set it up with a sump/refugium using the rock from the 12g and new sand. Then I got the first part of a 55g package from Richard for the 75g, and let it cycle. Moved the 20g with everything over to the 75g then let it cycle. Now just got the final part 2 of the 55g package and everything seems to be doing fine.

Also the 20g is now setup as a QT tank.

I hope to get some pics of the tank tonight, not everything has found it's final resting place, need somemore superglue. Also probably need to frag the silver gorg it's just huge. So will be reading through some of Teri's old posts for how to do that.

Someone had asked me about the Vortech's and now that I have stuff in there I will have to say I'm amazed at the amount of flow these things produce. I've had to turn it down cause it was up rooting alot of stuff in the tank. So if you're looking for money well spent you have got to check these out.

Oh I have a 12g Aquapod sitting here doing nothing, I do remember someone saying they were thinking of setting one up hehe.

Whelp that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Til tonight after the lights turn on and I can get pics.

O.k. thanks for clearing that up. Looking forward to your pictures! I can't wait to get my part 2 of my package from Richard.

Hey man, Richard told me that those silver gorgs are sensitive. He discouraged me from fragging mine for that reason. There was a piece that broke off one of the branches that had bare spots. I glued it to a rock. It has polyps extended where there is flesh, but there is still some bare skeleton.

Here's a photo of it (poor little thing):

Good flow has been one of the keys to my sponges thriving...it sounds like you and Terri are going to do okay with those Vortechs. Try not to expose the sponges to any air. I have not had a sponge survive that was exposed to air. I take them out of the specimen bag underwater.
