Do you have a coral you raised from a fraglet? Let's see it!

Here's a chunk of a Toadstool Leather I brought home from a MACNA workshop a few years ago.

And here it is a few years later.

Actually, it is even prettier now, so I'll take a new picture over the weekend and add it to the thread later.

What's in your tank? ;)

My green slimer probably is the most dramatic, sure has been a great coral to grow.

Don't have a pic from in August 2003 when I got it, but I've got this progression:

Then this recent one [March 2006]:

I just now had to frag my Slimer :( I woulda had a similar picture to yours Mark- got it as a small frag a year ago and the thing just took off... until a couple days ago darnit.
Great idea for a thread though!

Gregr, just photoshop the pieces together for us. :D

I just thought of another coral I can show you from my collection, but honestly it can be almost any type of coral that has grown substantially. Even a zingle zoa can turn into a beautiful colony. ;)

oh boy do I have growth pics from frags to colonies-

I don't want to hog the thread yet though- :D

maybe later.

okay, okay. that's one frag.

My whole tank was started from frags.

it's just too much to paste up right now, I'm gonna copy and paste from a former thread of mine, new thread comin' up!

Once upon a time (October 2004), I picked up a rock from the LFS that had some sort of encrusting on it, but I didn't know what it would turn out to be.

So I watched it grow under PCs, and here's what it looked like in December. It's actually the smaller one in the back.

The only semi-recent shot I have of this coral is a full tank shot. And since we're talking about growth... I actually recently put this full tank animation together. These two shots are two months apart, after the addition of a calcium reactor. The peach millepora with green polyps in question is now the largest coral in my tank. It's the large tabling one on the right.
