Picture on tank worked!

So i added a blue carpet to my system a few weeks ago hoping my picasso pair would host. They wanted nothing to do with it. I have been told that a picture of a clown in an anemone placed on the side of the tank would help assist them in hosting. I found a picture in a friends son's school book, made a copy and placed it on the tank. I placed the picture on the side next to the anemone and sure enough within 10 mins the clowns were in! they havent left since! Ill post pics later.

This worked for me too. After 2 weeks they hosted within 8 hours (i was at work, so nothing exact). Might have been coincidence, but I'd like to think I helped them along.

Thats an interesting method. I wonder if they registered what the picture actually showed or the colors attracted them to that area of the tank. It would be nice to test that theory out some day. Maybe once I finally get my reef lights up and running.

i have never heard of that method before i always just thought it was a crap shoot to get them to host, i will try that one for sure thank for that info

yea when i was told this method i assumed someone was playing a practical joke on me, but sure enough it worked!

That is a really cool idea. I am going to have to try that for myself when i get my carpet. Thanks for posting this.

I am going to try this right now, last night the pair was hanging very close to mine but didn't actually go in it. Time for some encouragement!
