Picture Settings For Canon Rebel XT

OK...now that i can post..lol...what do you guys thing of the image quality..feedback? Its a 265 gallon reef under 12k 400 watt Reeflux bulbs

It's not bad. To me it looks a little washed out, like the colors dont stand out very much. If you shoot in RAW mode, you can balance the colors out a lot better but I gave it a little attempt. Also, if it was me, I'd crop off at least the right side which is just empty rock space.

I only worked on this for 30 seconds, it is probably a little too much contrast, I'm sure someone else could spend some time and do much better ;) Also, if you notice around your image you have code in brackets... you did one extra set of image code. If you copy and paste that link in from photobucket, you dont need to add another set of the code.

Here's some of the EXIF so the pros can help you out some:

Aperture: 5.6
Exposure time: 1/125
ISO: 400

This is my edit, the tank looks a little blue to me, so I tried to bring things out...I probably over-did it. You can edit the image while staring at the coral itself though, enabling as high of accuracy as patience allows. I wouldn't say there is anything inherently wrong, but I was happy to crop in tighter. After an internal debate, your back wall was used as something of a frame. I cropped it in and out, then stuck with in. Your settings seemed to be okay. 1/125 > 38mm x1.6

I played around a little in I Photo and came up with this...I feel like I may have over did it also. Added some contrast :smokin:
