Finally found some time in my busy schedule to do a little rearranging in my work tanks. The 16G DIY acrylic cube has now officially become a LPS/softies only tank. The SPS I had in here just didn't seem too happy. Without a skimmer, this tank is relatively nutrient rich, which will definitely promote faster LPS/softies growth. I have seen some amazing growth from my chalices. The modded 24G now holds all the SPS at work along with some remaining LPS and softies. Hope you guys enjoy the pix :o

Still some more chalices......:D

Alien Eyes. Grew this out from a <1" frag. It's now over 2".

Another one that I got about 2 months ago. It looks similar to the Fragfarmer Psychedelic Chalice. Still waiting for it to color up.

My oldest and still the favorite. A deep blood red chalice that I've had for almost 2 years. Lost a bit of color when my home tank crashed, but it seems very happy in it's new home and has regained all of it's former glory.

Now on to some other stuff.......

Got this frag as Favites pentagona, not the War Coral from Tyree, but supposedly same or similar to. Who cares. I love the colors.

Thanks chip. I think I am happy with how this tank is stocked and will let it be for now, unless I come across something that I just couldn't resist

Thanks Gabriel. I don't know if these pieces can stay in this tank for a few years. It's only 16 gallons

Finally, my little Dendrotopia. I know some of these guys don't look too hot, but they were rescued from a LFS. They are all doing superbly and sprouting lots of new babies.

Haha......we shall see. You do have a little room in your tank ;)

Nice shots Kenny! Is it pc lighting only? Do you have any nitrates in there? You have me thinking of pulling my skimmer off the prop tank =)

Thanks Jen/Charles. The lighting is a 150W DE Ushio 20K bulb. It's not too intense like some of the lower Kelvin bulbs, which to me is perfect for the LPS/Softies in this tank.

Nitrates? What's that? Haha.......I have actually never tested for nitrates or anything else in this tank since it was set up in July of 2005 :eek1: I know a lot of people will say that's bad reefing, but to me, I just know how this tank is running. I do 2-3 gallon water changes once every 2 weeks or so if I remember. Longer if I don't. That's probably the reason the SPS didn't like it here. The LPS and zoas sure love it tho. I am getting very fast growth from all my chalices, micros, and the zoas multiply like crazy. Some of the same chalices barely grew when they were in my SPS dominated tank at home, which is skimmed pretty wet. Just keep in mind tho, this is all based on my personal experience only, FWIW :p
