Pictures under Blue LEDs

Is there a way to take pictures while the blue LEDs are on?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L100

Read recently someone used a pair of fishing glasses as a filter. I guess those would be polarized glasses? Maybe your camera has a feature to mimic this

I seem to remember people being able to take some pretty sweet looking pictures of blue LED.
