What are your opinions on the effectiveness of this product? I have a clownfish that must be some sort of disease magnet. He has had brookynella, ich, and now has some sort of fungus. Rather than pull him and put him into the quarantine tank I was looking for an option that could be used with the reef tank he is in and was hoping pimafix was the solution.

Hmm, I am in dry hot west Texas...
Pimafix is a little weak for brooklynella and ich.
First thing is first, clown needs to get out of the tank and be treated. I would be looking at copper. The firefish, won't be able to handle the treatment. It would be nice if you had an extra tank just for it. Leave the display tank fallow for 6 weeks...some say 8.

The clown doesn't have ich or brook now. Hasn't in weeks. Now the little fart has a fungus that comes and goes, but is always in the same spot. I have a qt I am just tired of pulling him every time he comes down with something. The firefish is fine as well. :) lol about west texas

Yes, fungus...probably as a secondary infection from a bacterial problem. Pimafix might be more useful here...or melafix. All assuming that you do not have a strong concentration of copper in your tank...it never helps to make the QT a cocktail. I've heard of some people taking a cotton swab to the infected area. Keep up with your water changes, and maybe start feeding garlic. In the right amounts, it has been proven that garlic can reduce bacteria in the muscles and digestive tract.

I use Kent Garlic Extreme...sometimes you can find it at the LFS, I've always ordered mine...or you could try mincing your own.
