pincushion urchin ?

Mine ate off everything but rearranged my tank in the process he now resides in the fuge since my friend gave it tome for the sme reason I moved him.

If you're talking about a tuxedo urchin, they will eat green algae before munching on your coralline. But if you just want one for diatom algae, stick to snails. They like to decorate themselves with whatever is loose in your tank. So if you have a lot of loose frags, not a good idea. ;]

urchins will stick to your rock work most of the time. they dont do enough to the algea on your glass. this is were you either need o manualy remove it or buy some snails to help out with it.

thanks guys sounds like its not worth the possible bulldozer effect. i will look into a good scrapper.
