I have started to find a few of these in my tank are they good bad ?Also a light covering of florescent green alge on some of my rocks this is not slimmy just not very pretty.Any guess as what it might be ,I thought maybe my lights were on to long (about 12 hours a day but nothing at night) thanks for any help in advance.Michaela

they arnt bad, just kinda funny looking if they pread through out the tank. you can just knock them off any they'll float around and eventually disapear. as for the algea, can you get a pic of it? photo period is fine, i wouldnt change that, but if there is algea growing on the rocks maybe skim alittle wetter to export more of the nutrients that the algea is using. maybe run some carbon. or a phosphate remover.
