pinellas county chlorine flush

as most of you know pinellas county uses chloramines as a sanitizer instead of chlorine. chloramines just don't work as well but is cheaper to use. after a few months there becomes a build up of what I really don't know. what I do know is when there is so much of a build up they run chlorine to flush it out. the next dates this will happen is from sept.18 - oct 27th. it seems a little long to me but this is the word I got. if you use tap water with a de chlorinator you will need to boost the amount of dechlorinator you use to not kill your tank. I am hoping the october was a typo and it would actually be sept.27th instead but prepare for the longer. your shower water will smell when they do this also.
