Pink Anthelia is PO'd!

I have one polyp of pink anthelia that was a hitch hiker on some LR. So far it's been doing great - survived the cycle and has had no problem whatsoever.

Yesterday I was doing some tank maintenance... 5% water change, dosed a little calcium, and added a couple more snails, hermits, and zoas (zoas are no where near the anthelia). About 2 hours after I was done, the anthelia started withering, pulled its arms in, and it has been all shrivelled up since.

Any idea what might be going on with it, or how to make it happy again?

That is pretty normal for it to close up a bit; I think it does it at night.

Keep that stuff isolated cause it grows like a weed and is a pain to keep controlled..

It usually does close up some at night, but not this much... and it hasn't opened up all day. It's a little shrivelled blob right now.

A week later and my lone polyp has started to open up again, and underneath it are three small baby polyps.

I'm glad it's bounced back... even though people have said it grows like a weed, that's ok. It's a cool hitch hiker!

One way to keep them in there place is isolate the rock its on or what I and others have done is put a stinger next to them as a wall. I have a good size hammer colony next to them. Keeps them in check so they can't spread past the hammer.
