Pink Birds Nest advice

Hey SPS lovers! I was given a Pink Birds Nest from my sister in law that I had originally gave her. She has now returned it to me because, well, it isn't pink anymore.

So my question is what is wrong with this once beautiful coral and how do I fix it? This shot was taken in my tank because I wanted to get it out of her water just in case her parameters weren't where they should be.

Any and all help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Yes, my picture isn't as good as this one I found on the interwebs but looks similar to this. The polyps aren't fully extended yet because it has only been in my tank for about an hour but I can certainly see some of then start to reach out.

I was thinking the same with the bleaching. Some of the tips seem to still have some color on them. What steps should I take to fix this?

I'd start with dropping it down to the sand bed. What lights was she running and what do you have?

She has T5s 2 10000 and 2 Actinic, I have the same but a different brand. Her bulbs are a different. They are "U" shaped bulbs. She had it up high in the tank. I will drop it to the sand bed.

That coral is dead. Birdsnests are sensitive to Alk swings and will undergo polyp bailout if the chemistry goes through extreme fluctuations.

Looks like skeleton except two tips, could try clipping the ends to make frags but looks mostly gone already.

Yeah, I kinda swayed from the bleaching thing when I was told her other coral almost died due to high Nitrates.

Welp, ya win some and lose some!

Thanks guys. I tried.
