pink boobies chalice will not grow?

i have had it for at least 6 months still only has 2 eyes its on the bottom of the aquarium under a 400w 20k ushio about 24" down with vhos as well. i have alot of other chalice corals that do grow so what gives? any help would be great thank you..

Have you been feeding it? IMO, they love to eat!

pink boobies grow pretty slow for me too. Try changing to 14k. Everything grew alot better for me under 14k.

ya i feed really heavy plus i use prodibio i can move it under the 250w 14k will see if that helps thanks..

How big is your frag? I find that my chalices have to reach a critical mass before they really start growing (usually >.75" in diameter).

Agreed on the size comment. Also, what color "pink" is it? Mine grows faster with more light (bubble gum pink) but looks nicer, IMO, in lower light (reddish pink).

its pretty pink and about 1/2" thought about taking in out and feeding it in a small holding cup to make sure it gets more food

I just a frag a few weeks ago, mine is the red pink and feed it 2-3x week, Mine is alittle fatter after feeding. When do eyes color up?

Yeah I'm gonna definitely shift mine to a lower light area once it is a little bigger. It is a reddish pink, much redder than the bazooka joe I have.

Mine look as tho the eyes are pink.....I'll try and snap a pic.

I have afrag 1/2" and may under macro have alittle color but under normal viewing have no color. Looking at my frag it looks like a frag from the outer edge of new growth. According to pookstreet it is from one of the original colony (s). I can only assume color and growth of eye are related. Hope I am not wrong or will be hitting up SD for a frag.

I also recently got a frag from pookstreet and the eyes have no color but it is a nice pink.
I'm guessing it was in to much light before or the eyes arent developed yet. They just look pale whitish pink.
Mine arrived with no color in the eyes but Ive had other chalice lose color in the eyes when they were getting to much light. Once I shaded them they got the color back.

Hopefully the eyes will color up for us cuz thats why I wanted a boobies ever since it came out. The eyes are so cool.
I do trust Pookstreet so I'm assuming they'll color up in time.

I have a huge one it had 231 boobies (pink)..I just fraged some ..so it has 170 boobies now ..I have It high under 240w LED's 14000k they grow slow but heal fast ..so that means is healthy ....I will.post pics soon

Its been almost a year and mine still hasnt grown and still has no color in the eyes.
I'm really dissapointed.
All my other chalice are growing and doing well. My miami hurricane got about 30 eyes in the past cpl months.
