Pink fish?

I'm looking for a good pink fish for my tank. I have 2 occ clowns and plan on adding mixed reef.

The purple dotty back on livequaria looks pink to me. And I thought is a good fit for me. What about you guys ? Is there another fish that would be more of a true pink that would work in my tank.

It's for my wife , my only shot at getting her to accept this hobby alittle more than she has.

36" - 45 Gallon Bow DT, w/ live rock, 1.5" sand bed. Just received my Lifereef berlin sump. i would say approx 17 gallon.

I have an email alert set up now for a pink margin fairy wrasse. I do not know if it would work for you or not but worth a look. Good luck

pinkstteaked wrasse would probably be your most peaceful choice.

I agree; would make a great choice for that tank. Pseudocheilinops ataenia, so there are no questions of common names.

It would not most likely. They get much too large for a 3' wide tank IMO.

I would say the following would be options as well (assuming you have a 100% closed top, as most, if not all, will jump:

Liopropoma rubre - Swissguard Basslet
Nemateleotris helfrichi - Helfrichi Firefish
Oxycirrhites typus - Longnose Hawkfish (more red than pink, though I have seen some light enough to be considered pink)
Cirrhilabrus lubbocki - Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse (borderline, but I think it would be fine longterm)
Cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis - Yellow Fin Fairy Wrasse (see above)

Cave Basslet is a very nice hot pink when seen in person. Diver's Den has one currently listed.

Neither is a purple dottyback.

But, under certain lights, they can look pink.

They are purply pink:

Don't go for the purple dotty on liveaquaria, have a look at a Fridmani dotty instead. They are generally more peaceful and they develop into a beautiful species (the pic on the site isn't great tbh). A blackcap gramma could also be a good option or outside choice talbots damsel.
