pink frogspawn

ive seen pink hammer coral before, but i saw a pink frogspawn for the first time at a lfs the other day. has anyone seen or does anyone own one? tempted to go back and pick it up but im worried its either bleached and just looks pink or maybe dyed.

Most all Euphyllia Corals comes in a array of colors. As long as its not white its not bleached, well dead there would be no flesh left. Everything looks different in everyones tank. If it looks good and healthy its up to you!

I don't know what it looked like in your LFS,
But people do have them.

ife never seen one but i noticed that when new heads grow there like pinkish

I had seen frodspawn that are all (purple) but under some LEDs or some other lights, the very often seen purple turns into pink. If it is like a HOT PINK, now that's rare, but if it is just a purple kind of pink, that's pretty common also.

now is that just a bunch of color morphs put together for the big one?

I'm sure they were glued together at some point. I don't know the history behind it. But my best guess would be a bunch of different colors put together when they were smaller heads.

when he had the blue leds on it looked hot pink. just dont know how its gonna look under my lighting.

ive seen them come different colors from the same branch. lfs told me its called a "darwin hammer" dont know if its true but he was selling it for $250. i told him i just put 2 $30 pieces of different colors next to each other. he responded not so amused "its not the same". lol

Sure if people did that he wouldn't make as much money.
