Pink-Purple Fish

My daughter loves pink color and she wanted to have a pinkish-purplish fish. It will go in 46g reef setup. Any suggetions on fish with pink or purple colors? Doesn't have to be exact but close to pink purple might work. Has to be reef safe and small to medium size due to small tank size.

purple scolopis also known as a banana fish....its bright purple with a flourescent yellow stripe its very hardy and reef safe it grows to about 5 inches

Purple firefish. Stay away from pink anthias: they won't live in a tank under 6 feet. There are some small barberpole marked gobies that are pinkish, and ditto some watchmen whose colors come out that way. YOu can have a nice tank with a combo of orangish pink/purplish pink and a little reddish pink. There are also some pink softies, if your water quality stays high.

royal gramma or orchid dottyback. both are pefect for the smaller aquarium and have stunning purple colors

Thanks guys for your suggetions. I like royal gramma and orchid dottyback due to their size. I had pink anthias in my 115G and it harrased the other fish.

Thanks for your suggetion, really appreciate it.

Do you know more about Flame Cardinal? Anybody have any personal experience with this fish? Are they nocturnal? Will them come out during daytime at all? Are they only aggressive towards other cardinalfish or otherfish as well?
Any info on this fish would be very helpful.

They're not the best pictures, but you can see their colour. They're both reef-safe and well suited to a medium sized tank, with nice personalities (Talbot's aren't agressive like other damsels).

I think she'd love the fat head (sunburst) anthias as suggesterd above or blackcap basslet or one of the more spectacular fairy wrasses

I have a Lubbock's fairy wrasse and ACBlinky's photo doesn't do them justice - but at least she got a photo! That's more than I could do! Anyway they are gorgeously colored fish - pink, purple, yellow and a splotch of coral

HTH :)

So nice to see someone defending the name of the milder mannered damsels - the nasty ones give the good ones a bad name!
