Pink spotted goby - Missing cleaner shrimp

Hey all, i have a pink spotted watchman goby and he usually hangs out in the right side of my tank. I have 3 missing cleaner shrimp in my tank. I removed my coral banded after he stabbed my achilles in the eye and all of a sudden my cleaners are all gone. I dont suspect my two tangs, clowns, or chromis are the culprits.

I have found have of my one cleaner in his area and the cleaner was not put in that area..

So two questions. Do the gobys eat them? How can i catch this thing?

I have a pink spotted around 3.5'' and have two cleaner skunk shrimp and they all get along great. To the best of my knowledge the pink spotted goby will not touch the cleaner shrimp but anything is possible.

While they usually are just fine around shrimp, That is definitely not always the case. Mine is about four inches and the only shrimp I have been able to keep without him devouring was a large pistol. I personally love these fish, and my suggestion would be rather than taking him out, capturing and selling the rest of your shrimp and getting a pistol shrimp so they can for a symbiotic bond. It is a very neat thing to see.

If he's big enough, sure, he might eat a cleaner shrimp.

I wouldn't necessarily rule out the tangs...I've had a couple big tangs that decided shrimp were the tastiest things in the tank.

I've generally found gobies relatively easy to catch using a fish trap in the evening.

Ok i wasnt sure because they always go up to him and wanted cleaning. I think that i wanted a pistol.. but loved what the cleaners did for my tangs and helped cleaning them.
