hi folks,
this is my first sps, it is a pink thick branch birdsnest. it arrived on Saturday morning from live aquaria. it dripped for 2 hours, then it was dipped, rinsed and put in to my dt. I just have this question, how does it look?. I have it place now at the highest point in my tank about 9-10 inches away from my powerhead and about 2 inches behind it( by that I mean it is not in the direct path of the flow. it is under my led panel that is 10000k 54 1 watt white led bulbs plus 6 actinic bulbs..
just a little advice please on if perhaps my lighting is too little/much for this coral. it seemed a lil more pink when I first put it in the tank and it appears that the polyps have receded. pic one is 1 hour after it was put in. pic two is fifteen minutes ago.
any advice would be appreciated
btw all water params are in check. the tank is a few months shy of 2 years old

I have some variety of pink birds nest, grows well in most light conditions, but since you just added this to your system, you might want to consider acclimating at the bottom with lower light conditions until you get polyp extension and leave it there for a while until it colors up a bit. IME, very hearty SPS. Cheers, Ed
